For users

This page is for the people using the VPN — feel free to send them the link. No administrator rights are needed for anything below.

Connecting

Click the Valenius icon in your system tray (Windows/Linux), menu bar (Mac), or open the app (phone) and press Connect.

What the icon tells you:

  • Green dot — the VPN is connected.
  • Green check — connected and verified: traffic is confirmed flowing through the tunnel.
  • Gray/off — not connected.

If your setup has several VPN profiles, each has its own connect switch, and Disconnect all takes everything down at once.

You never need to install updates — the app keeps itself up to date.

Approving an MFA request

If your company requires a confirmation before the VPN opens, connecting will prompt you:

  • With your phone: a notification appears — tap it, pick the number that matches the one shown on your computer, and confirm with your fingerprint or face.
  • With a code: a page opens asking for the 6-digit code from your authenticator app. Type it in and you're connected.

First time? You'll be shown a QR code — scan it with any authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, Aegis, …). That app then generates your codes from now on.

Depending on your company's policy you'll confirm every time you connect, or once per session.

Sending logs

If support asks you to "send logs" (or something isn't working and you want to report it):

  • Windows: right-click the tray icon → AboutSend logs.
  • Linux: click the tray icon → Send logs.
  • Phone: app menu → Send logs.

One click, done — a small report goes to your administrator. It contains only the VPN app's own logs, with all keys and passwords removed before it leaves your device. No personal files, browsing history, or other apps' data are included.
